March 15th Mission papers are submitted. Availability date: July 15th.
Now we wait.....
It's finally arrives on Saturday March 28th.
We planned a quick get together to watch Jameson open his call that evening.
I knew these maps would come in handy someday.
We had people guess where he was going on Facebook and with sticky notes at home.
Skyping with Grandma & Grandpa Koski, on the phone with Mark & Lorilee, Shane & JJ...
Elder Bennett you are hereby called....
To the Culiacan Mexico Mission. You will report to the Mexico MTC September 2nd. You will preach the gospel in the Spanish Language. You will serve for a period of 24 months.
Where is Culiacan???
So of course we spent the next while figuring out where Jameson's mission was. It is very hot there. Big drug activity, but supposedly they treat missionaries really well.
After this we quickly got to work submitting paperwork for his passport and then visa. Passport came back in a little less than 4 weeks and we got visa paperwork the last part of July. The last part of that process was a trip to the Mexican Consulate in Omaha. It took about 4 hours and he wasn't sure if they were going to process it or not. But he finally got it. Phew! One more thing to check off the preparation list.
